Replacing the carbon brushes

Replace the carbon brushes once they have been worn down to
approx. 4 mm.
1.
Remove the carbon brush cover (4) on the side of the
motor cover by turning it counter clockwise using a suitable
screw driver.
2.
Remove the carbon brushes; note the position of the
spring retention.
3. Insert the new carbon brushes (44) observing the correct
position of the spring retention.
4. Replace the carbon brushes only in pairs.
5. Screw in the carbon brush cover (4) again.

Replacing the table insert

Immediately replace a worn or damaged table insert.
1. Remove the screws (12) of the work piece stop (11) and
remove the latter.
2. Loosen the screws of the table insert (9) and remove them.
Insert a new table insert and secure it and the work piece

stop using the screws.

Possible faults

Before each fault clearance
− Switch off device
− Wait for standstill of the saw blade
− Pull out power plug
After each fault clearance, put into operation and recheck all security installations.
Fault

Possible cause
• Power failure
• Extension cable defect
• Motor or switch defect
• Transport locking pin not removed
• Locking device for pendulum cover not opened
• Saw blade is dull
• Feed is too great
• Saw blade is not suitable for the work step or is
dull
• Saw blade is warped
• Saw blade not properly mounted
Transport
Remove mains plug before each transport.
Before each transport:
− Position saw head vertically
− Turn rotary table to 0°
− Push saw head down and engage the transport locking
pin (5)
− Remove the support arms (18) and the vise assembly
(20)
− Secure the pulling device!
Always carry the saw on the carrying handle (2) or on the
outer cast parts. Do not hold the saw on the protective
covers or handle (1) when lifting it.
Storage
Remove the mains plug from the socket.
Store unused equipment in a dry, locked place out of the
reach of children.
Before extended storage, please observe the following to
increase the service life of the device and to ensure smooth
operation:
− thoroughly clean the saw
− treat all movable parts with an environmentally friendly oil
Never use any grease!
Removal
• Check safety fuse
• Check cable, no longer use defect cable
• Have motor or switch checked by an
approved electrician or replaced by original
spare parts
• Pull out transport locking pin (5)
• Open locking device (17)
• Replace saw blade (36)
• Allow motor to cool and proceed working with
less pressure
• Replace saw blade
• Replace saw blade
• Mount saw blade properly
