WARRANTY
Balder warrants that its products (1) comply with Balder's standard specifications
as of the delivery date to Balder's authorized distributors/direct purchasers and are
warrantied for the following periods from end user's date of purchase (verified by valid
sales receipt) (a) five years for Balder Technology auto-darkening filters; (b) two years
for all other auto-darkening filters; and (c) one year for powered air purifying respirators;
(2) comply with all Balder labeling representations; and (3) are manufactured in
compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws in effect at the time
and place of manufacture of the products. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Balder is not
liable for any kind of special, incidental, or consequential damages. Balder's liability for
breach of contract, tort or other cause of action shall not exceed the product purchase
price. Purchasers and users are deemed to have accepted the above warranty and
limitation of liability, and cannot change the terms by verbal agreement or by any writing
not signed by Balder. To the extent required by applicable law, Balder does not limit its
liability for death/injury resulting from Balder's negligence.

HELMET AND HEADGEAR ASSEMBLY
®
1. Insert the headgear (D) into the helmet shell (B) as shown in figure 1. Push
the screws (A) through the openings in the helmet shell. Engage the small tilt
positioning pins into the desired tilt positioning holes in the shell.
2. Tighten a headgear nut (C) onto each screw.
3. Adjust the headgear to optimize comfort and fit.
a. Adjust the length of the top strap so the headgear rests at a comfortable position
around your head.
b. Adjust the range of tilt of the helmet by adjusting holes the pins engage.
c. Adjust the distance of the helmet from the face by loosening the headgear nuts
so the hinge mechanisms can be moved forward or backward along the headgear
to the desired position. Then re-tighten the headgear nuts.
The headgear is equipped with a replaceable sweatband. Sweatbands are
available through your local dealer.

If you have purchased the WH70 BH3
hat, a two part (left and right) hard hat adaptor will be replacing the standard
headgear. Each of the two hard hat adaptor parts are clearly marked with L (left)
and R (right) on the main body. Please choose the right one for each side.
1. While pressing the screw with your index finger, loosen the nut, as shown on figure 1.
2. Push the screw through rectangular opening in the helmet shell, while still holding the
screw. Put the pin for the tilt adjustment in one of the three holes in the helmet shell.
Choose the right tilt adjustment hole for your maximum comfort (2.).
3. Tighten the nut on the screw (3.).
4. Repeat the assembly of the hard hat adaptor on the opposite side of the helmet.
5. Insert the wedges of the hard hat adaptor into the hard hat slots. Make sure that the
lower latches of the hard hat adaptor have stuck over the edges of the hard hat (5.).
6. The headgear of the hard hat can be adjusted by turning the rear wheel in order to fit
any head size. Press the wheel and hold it while turning, release the wheel when reach-
ing the position of maximum comfort, so that it will lock in the required position (6.).
7. The two springs of the hard hat adaptor hold the helmet in two extreme positions: up
and down (7.).
The headgear is equipped with a replaceable sweatband. Sweatbands are avail-
able through your local dealer.
