Translation of the original instructions
2) PRECAUTIONS WHEN DRIVING
1) Avoid jerky operations when the crawler truck is in motion.
2) Keep the rubber crawler track away from sharp edges of concrete etc.
3) Cracks on the outside surface of the rubber track (in contact with the ground) are very often due
to contact with gravel, sharp stones and sharp materials such as sheet metal, nails and glass.
3) AVOID SUDDEN CHANGES IN DIRECTION
Sharp turns on concrete surfaces or excessive accelerations which generate high friction
coefficients must be avoided since they might cause cuts in the rubber.
4) AVOID CONTAMINATION WITH OIL
Fuels and hydraulic fluids must never come into contact with the rubber crawler track. If this should
occur clean imemdiately.
5) REPLACING THE SPROCKET
If abrasions and wear are noted on the sprocket, it must be replaced as soon as possible since in
these conditions it might cause abrasion or reveal the metal core.

6) OPERATING TEMPERATURE

The ideal operating temperature for the rubber crawler track is between -25° and 55° C
ADJUSTMENT OF THE STEERING LEVERS
When pulling the steering lever to turn right (5R) the right hammer inside the gearbox (fig.
12) lock the hole of the crown gear and block the track traction. In the meantime the right
track brake will be engaged. When the lever is released the hammer gets out of the crown
gear, the brake is unlocked and the machine goes forward again.
Should the machine not turn properly or should the lever not come back to its original
position once released, adjust the self-locking nut placed on the hammer rod (fig. 12) and
on the brake rod (fig. 14).
When the steering lever is not engaged (5R – 5L) the hammer should not lock the gear
crown (fig. 12) and the brake must not be blocked (fig. 14).
TRACTION BELT TIGHTENER
Check that the belt tightener has sufficient freeplay to avoid pulling the belt into stop position.
During work the belt tightener retrun spring must be tensioned (fig. 15). CAUTION: THE
ROTATION OF BOTH THE BELT AND THE PULLEYS IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS, THIS CHECK
MUST BE ABSOLUTELY CARRIED OUT WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF.
