8.3

Mechanical vibrations

PROBLEM
Pipes are in contact and vibrate.
Shaft couplings are not aligned or locked.
Safety valve vibrates as a result of:
- Wear and tear
- Incorrect adjustment
- The machine is under too much load, result-
ing in oil overflow.
Pump is worn out or damaged.
Hydromotor is worn out or damaged.
8.4

Pump supplies insufficient oil and/or does not reach required pressure level

PROBLEM
Direction of rotation of the driving motor is
incorrect.
Air in the system.
8.5

System temperature is too high, causing leakage

PROBLEM
Oil viscosity is too low.
Cooling system not functioning properly as
a result of insufficient size, incorrect adjust-
ment or contamination of the cooler.
Safety valve setting is too low.
Oil circulation is not depressurised in neutral
position.
Too much leakage as a result of worn-out
pumps, control valves, hydromotors or cylin-
ders
8.6

Rotational speed of the pump is incorrect

PROBLEM
The drive clutch is slipping.
The driving motor has broken down or is too
small.
16
Install return pipe and suction pipe as far away from each other as
possible.
Replace shaft seals.
Draw pipeline tighter or replace pipe connections.
Replace suction hose.
SOLUTION(S)
Improve the pipework.
Align and lock the shaft couplings.
Replace valve.
Check adjustment.
Decrease the load or find out whether the pressure can be increased.
Repair or replace the pump.
Repair or replace the hydromotor.
SOLUTION(S)
Change direction of rotation.
See chapter 3.
SOLUTION(S)
Replace with right type of oil (see chapter 5).
Check if sufficient cooling medium is being transported, clean the cooler,
readjust the cooling system or install a larger cooler.
Reset the safety valve (in accordance with instructions).
Check the neutral position of the valve; there may be a power failure.
Check, repair or replace the worn-out components in order to determine
the location of the leak.
SOLUTION(S)
Lock or repair the clutch.
Repair the driving motor or install a larger one.
