DRIVE CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMENT

1. Loosen the locknut 1.
2. Turn the adjusting bolt 2 clockwise until it is fin-
ger tight, and then loosen it 1/4 turn.
3. Hold the adjusting bolt 2 in place while tighten-
ing the chain adjusting locknut 1.
Drive chain adjusting locknut:
25 Nm (2.5 m · kg, 18 ft · lb)

THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

NOTE:
Adjust the throttle cable free play while the cable is
in the cable guide.
1. Measure:
• Throttle cable free play a
Out of specification → Adjust.
Throttle cable free play:
3.0 ~ 4.0 mm (0.12 ~ 0.16 in)
2. Adjust:
• Throttle cable free play
Throttle body side adjustment steps:
• Remove the shroud and then left side cover.
• Loosen the locknut 1.
• Turn the adjusting nut 2 in direction a or b
until the specified free play is obtained.

3. Tighten the locknut.
NOTE:
If the specified throttle cable free play cannot be
obtained on the throttle body side of the cable, use
the adjusting nut on the handlebar side.
