Servicing

Equipment servicing and repair must only be carried out by competent persons with good general mechanical knowledge.
This equipment must only be serviced and repaired by persons with the required training, skills and tools.

Stop the engine before any servicing work (leave the control in the Stop position) and wait for it to cool down.
Waste generated in servicing and repair work (fluids, filters, used rags, etc.) must be dealt with in accordance with the regulations in force and with
environmental protection directives.
Replace or repair immediately any worn, damaged or missing part if there is a risk for safety.

5.1.1 List of equipment and accessories necessary for servicing

For the correct performance of servicing and maintenance work, the following tools must be available:
Servicing tools (supplied with the machine)
16 mm spark plug spanner (Ref. FVL)
4 mm Allen key 4 (Ref. GBJ) and 8 mm (Ref. GBN)
Brush (Ref: MAK)
This list of tools does not exclude routine but indispensable items such as: rags, brushes, grease, etc.

5.1.2 Engine

Follow strictly the manufacturer's instructions for rail drilling machines fitted with 4-stroke engines, the oil is a decisive factor in the performance and lifetime
of the engine. Always use a 4-stroke automobile engine oil which meets or exceeds the requirements of the engine.

5.1.3 Tightening

After a running-period of approximately 10 working hours, check the seating and tightness of all accessible nuts and bolts (this does not apply to the
carburettor adjustment screw).
