3.5 Fuel

The 4-stroke engine of the PR.2 rail drilling machine uses petrol with an octane rating of at least 90 RON.
containing no more than 10% of ethanol (SP95-E10) or 5% of methanol by volume.
Petrol DO NOT USE GASOHOL or ALCOHOL
Petrol storage petrol oxidises and deteriorates over time. After each utilisation of the machine, drain the fuel tank and leave the engine running until it
stops.

3.5.1 Filling with fuel

Take care when opening a can of fuel.
Before filling, carefully clean the filler cap and surrounding area in order to prevent contamination from entering the tank.
Position the machine vertically so that the tank filler cap ① is oriented upwards.
Never fill the tank to the top: put in only ¾ of its maximum capacity.
NEVER FILL WITH FUEL WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING OR EXCESSIVELY HOT

Opening the cap
➊ Turn the tank cap ① by hand fully in the anticlockwise direction.
➋ Remove the tank filler cap.
Carefully open the fuel filler cap to let the internal pressure escape slowly without spraying fuel.
Never use a tool to open the cap. This could damage the cap and allow fuel to escape.
➌ Fill the tank in a well-ventilated place, not in the vicinity of possible causes of fire such as: blow torches, sparks, welding residues
Make sure the machine is at least 6 metres away from the fuel filling position before starting it.

Closing the cap
➊ Present the tank filler cap facing the filler orifice.
➋ Turn the cap fully in the clockwise direction.

Pressure may build up in the can. Open it with care.
