The PR.2 ultra-light compact rail drilling machine is designed for drilling all types of Vignoles or grooved rails, including highly-alloyed rails. Its power,
robustness and lightness provide unrivalled drilling quality.
Its design is the work of railway equipment specialists and is entirely based on the most up-to-date techniques used in the field of machine tools.
The PR.2 uses hollow high-speed steel drills, which reduce the machine weight and drillings times relative to a conventional drill.
A pressurised tank supplies refrigerant oil through the interior of the spindle.
This ultra-light rail drilling machine is equipped with a rapid-action screw clamp for Vignoles or grooved rails. The clamp enables the machine to be installed
and removed in seconds, with rigid attachment to the rail and very high drilling accuracy.
The PR.2 has a manual advance system based on an indexed lever.
The PR.2 has the longest drilling travel of all the machines on the market. The long travel enables large thicknesses to be drilled.
