4.1.5 Removing the machine from the rail

Depending on the circumstances (length of time available in which to take the machine off the rail), the machine can be moved using the "a) Normal
procedure" or "b) Emergency procedure".
a) Normal procedure
• Finish the drilling operation.
• Close the lubricant tap ②.
• Disconnect the pressurised tank ①.
• Bring the spindle back to the initial position by pushing the indexing
advance lever ⑤.

Reduce the engine speed, then stop it by moving the remote engine stop
control to position 0 and waiting for the engine to stop completely
• Release the clamp and take the machine off the rail (cf. § 3.8 "Placing the
machine on the rail").
• Remove the machine from the rail by proceeding in the reverse order of the
procedure for "Placing the machine on the rail" described in § 3.8.
Taking the machine off the rail can be done in less than 15 seconds and
requires only one operator.
b) Emergency procedure
• Bring the spindle back to the initial position by pushing the indexing advance lever ⑤.
• Stop the engine by moving the remote engine stop control ③ to position 0.
• Release the clamp.
• Pick up the machine by the carrying handle ④ and take it quickly off the rail.
IMPORTANT: After applying the emergency procedure for removing the machine from the rail, it is vital to check that no damage has occurred to any
component of the machine and that the grinding wheel is in good condition. The machine must not be restarted until its condition has been
inspected and rectified.
