NOVA Wi-Fi AND VERTIGO Wi-Fi PHOTOCELLS ALARM SIGNAL CHECK
Check that by taking the battery out of photocell receiver with DIP 3 ON (for example), and
commanding the door to open, the LED EDGE PHOT 3 flashes green/red, while LEDs DL1, DL2
and DL3 turn off, and that buzzer emits tones for 1 minute.
Repeat the check for any other photocell receivers installed.
Note: if removing the battery and commanding the door to open the buzzer on MASTER Wi-Fi OS
does not sound, DIP 3 is OFF on the MASTER Wi-Fi OS (safety not enabled). Turn it ON.
TOUCH Wi-Fi 2.0 STRIP ALARM SIGNAL CHECK
Check that by taking the battery out of the transmitter with DIP 3 ON (for example), LED EDGE
PHOT 3 flashes red while LED DL2 turns off, and that buzzer emits every 3 seconds a tone for
1 minute.
Repeat the check for any other strips installed.
Note: if the battery is removed and the buzzer on the MASTER Wi-Fi does not sound, DIP 3 is OFF
on MASTER Wi-Fi OS (safety not enabled). Turn it to ON.
WARNING (replace the batteries almost empty)
The WARNING informs the user to replace the batteries immediately.
When battery power reaches 2,3V for NOVA Wi-Fi and 3V for TOUCH Wi-Fi 2.0, these safeties
signal to MASTER Wi-Fi OS the low battery status and MASTER Wi-Fi OS activates the buzzer
with a sound every 3 seconds for 1 minute.
The attention status is renewed with each command for 1 minute.
On MASTER Wi-Fi OS the EDGE PHOT LED referred to the photocell or the edge with almost flat
batteries, lights up fixed in red.
The system is still operational, but it is better to replace the batteries as soon as possible in
order to avoid a full stop of the door operation which happens when the batteries reach 2V for
NOVA Wi-Fi/VERTIGO Wi-Fi and 2,7 V for TOUCH Wi-Fi 2.0.
ALARM (batteries empty or safety damaged)
The alarm activates when the batteries are empty (2V for NOVA Wi-Fi/VERTIGO Wi-Fi and 2,7V
for TOUCH Wi-Fi 2.0) or when a safety is damaged.
On MASTER Wi-Fi OS the LEDs DL1, DL2 and DL3 turn off and MASTER Wi-Fi OS blocks the
automation.
The BUZZER emits a tone every 3 seconds for 1 minute, drawing the attention of the user who
will have to replace the batteries or repair the fault.
The alarm status is renewed with each command for 1 minute.
On MASTER Wi-Fi OS the EDGE PHOT LED referred to the photocell or the edge with completely
flat or faulty batteries, flashes red.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
The life of the two 1.5V AA batteries applied to the photocells is approximately 3 years.
The life of the 3V AA lithium battery applied to the edges is approximately 3 years.
If the batteries are replaced, it is not necessary to redo the programming of the safety devices.
- Identify the safety device with empty batteries by checking LEDs EDGE PHOT.
- Use the number of LED EDGE PHOT which is flashing red or that emits a steady red light,
identify the number of the safety device with batteries empty.
- Find the NOVA Wi-Fi or TOUCH Wi-Fi 2.0 devices with the yellow sticker bearing the
identification number corresponding to the number of the LED EDGE PHOT which is in alarm
status on the MASTER Wi-Fi OS.
- Replace the batteries, checking that the polarity is correct.
- Press push button PROG TX on the NOVA Wi-Fi or TOUCH Wi-Fi 2.0 to restart the MASTER Wi-Fi
OS.
- The buzzer of the MASTER Wi-Fi OS will turn off and the LEDs DL1-DL2-DL3 (if in alarm status)
will turn on. The LED EDGE PHOT corresponding to the safety device with the new batteries
will turn off.
The automation is now ready to restart.
ATTENTION: Please remember that batteries must be disposed properly according to current
standards. In case of disposal of the safety devices, please remember to remove the AA
batteries and dispose them properly
PROCEDURE TO DELETE ALL RECORDED SAFETY DEVICES
To delete all safety devices recorded in the MASTER Wi-Fi OS memory, just push and hold the
button PROG. RX for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, all EDGE PHOT LEDs (from EDGE PHOT 1 to EDGE PHOT 6) will flash red/green 6
times to indicate that deletion has taken place.
At the end, the EDGE PHOT LEDs and the DL1, DL2 and DL3 LEDs will turn off.
ATTENTION: WITH LED DL1, DL2 AND DL3 OFF, AUTOMATION DOES NOT WORK.
PROCEDURE TO DELETE A SINGLE SAFETY DEVICE (PHOTOCELL OR SAFETY
EDGE)
In order to remove a single safety device, use the following procedure:
- Push PROG. RX one or more times to select the LED EDGE PHOT, to select the safety device to
delete, which begins flashing green.
- After selecting the safety device, push and hold the button PROG. RX for 10 seconds.
- After 10 seconds LED EDGE PHOT flashes red/green 6 times, indicating successful removal.
ATTENTION: Set the EDGE PHOT DIP switch corresponding to the deleted safety device to
OFF, then press the PROG. RX button on MASTER Wi-Fi 6 times.
IMPORTANT: Remove the batteries from the deleted safety device.
