programs; or press and hold one of the above buttons for one second
to select another number.
For example: P1+P2=program N.12, or P4+P1=program N.41
3.6.8 CHANGING A PROGRAM
This function can only be accessed if the "Lock" function has not
been enabled !!
If you wish to change a program that has already been stored, first
call it up by pressing the relevant button, the modify the values using
the arrow buttons. As soon as any one of the two values is modified,
the control unit will revert to manual mode (the word "manual"
appears at the top right hand of the screen). To store the new values
(as described for the previous point), press the "Program" button and
select the program you require.
3.6.9 LOCK BUTTON FUNCTION:
This function can be used to lock certain operations, for safety
purposes:
The following functions are disabled:
- Storing the programs (if the "program" button is pressed nothing
will happen)
- Changing cooking parameters during or before cooking (it is only
possible to use one of the stored programs)
The following functions remain active:
- Use of one of the 20 programs
- Selecting the "Economy" function
3.6.10 ENABLING THE "LOCK" FUNCTION
To enable or disable the "Lock" function, simply press the relevant
button.
As soon as it is pressed, a message will appear on screen inviting you
to enter your password to allow enabling or disabling of the timer
(when the control unit is delivered the password is set to 1 1 1 1).
3.6.11 STORING THE PASSWORD
To store a new password, press and hold the "lock" button. A
message will appear on screen requesting you to enter the old
password (four asterisks indicate the number of figures to be entered,
and the figures are the ones available on the keyboard, 1,2,3,4)
3.6.12 SETTING THE DATE AND TIME
To set the date and time, press the right arrow and left arrow buttons
simultaneously. After pressing OK on being requested to confirm,
the date and time can be modified using the arrow buttons (left and
right to move, up and down to change). Press OK at the end of the
operation to confirm changes.
3.6.13 ECONOMY FUNCTION
The "Economy" function allows the oven to be kept warm, while
reducing gas consumption. It is ideal during momentary pauses in
cooking, and is achieved by reducing the amount of gas used.
3.6.14 ENABLING THE ECONOMY FUNCTION:
To set the Economy function, press the "Economy" button.
If the oven is turned off, the fact that the economy function is
enabled can be seen at the bottom right hand corner of the screen
which reads : " Economy on", whereas if the oven is working or
when it starts working an icon depicting a moneybox will appear at
the right hand side of the screen in place of the belt icon

3.6.16 DISPLAYING ALARMS
If a problem is detected, six different types of alarm can be displayed
on the control unit screen.
- Belt stopped alarm
- Fan stopped alarm
- Max. safety temperature exceeded alarm
- Burner ventilator malfunction alarm
- Burner block
- Flame out
When one of the above alarms occurs the control unit indicates on
screen which alarm has been triggered, and turns the oven off.
After the STOP button has been pressed, the fan will continue to turn
for approximately 30 seconds.
The alarm signal remains even after the actual state of alarm no
longer exists, so for example if the temperature exceeds the max
threshold foreseen for a moment and then returns to normal values,
the alarm ceases but it is still displayed on the control unit screen,
and the oven will remain off until it is turned on again. This is to
allow the operator to identify the problem, even if there is nobody
near the oven when it actually occurs.
Furthermore: when an alarm is triggered, the oven will switch off and
the relevant alarm message will continue to be displayed. If you press
the "Stop" button the initial screen will be displayed and the alarm
message will no longer be visualised, but this does not necessarily
mean the problem has been solved. In effect, if the problem still
exists the message will be displayed again as soon as the oven is
started up, and the oven will once more be turned off.
WARNING! In the event of a malfunction or fault in the
appliance, press the STOP button (fig. 31 item 14), disconnect the
power by turning the main switch (fig. 29 item N) to "0".
If the appliance is still malfunctioning when it is turned on again,
press the STOP button again (fig. 31 item 14), disconnect the power
by turning the main switch (fig. 29 item N) to "0"; disconnect the
power plug from the socket, turn off the gas tap and contact a
specialised service technician.
Leave the appliance to cool down, as the technician who is to
eliminate the cause of the problem will have to check that none of
the appliance components are damaged and replace them if
necessary. The following are some indications to help the
technician in his job.
In certain working situations the appliance may block and/or turn off
for one of the following reasons:

F Maximum temperature exceeded alarm.
- When the internal temperature exceeds the maximum threshold due
to a malfunction, the safety thermostat triggers automatically,
blocking operation; to restore the appliance to normal operation, after
allowing it to cool down and making sure that none of the
components are damaged, unscrew the safety thermostat guard cap
(fig. 29 item P) and press down on the button underneath, which
resets the thermostat; restore the guard cap to its proper position to
prevent the thermostat from deteriorating, as this would prejudice
proper operation of the oven.
G Fan alarm.
- The cooking fan motor is fitted with a thermal cut-out which stops
the motor in the event of excessive absorption. To restart, after
eliminating the cause of the problem, you must first wait for the
motor to cool down.
H Belt alarm.
- The conveyor belt gear motor is fitted with a retroactive speed
control system. If it is not turning, an alarm will be triggered.
I Flame out alarm
- If the flame goes out this may be due to an interruption in the
supply of mains gas, or it may be that the flame detector is no longer
effective over the whole of the burner modulation range or because it
has become deformed (correct position fig. 48), or because the burner
is blocked and is no longer producing a flame sufficiently large to
touch the flame detector as required.
L Burner block alarm
- If the burner is unable to light itself it will block. Check that the gas
supply is turned on and bear in mind that when starting up for the
first time all the air in the gas circuit must first come out, so it may
be necessary to light up several times. Another reason may be that
the spark plug is not working properly because it is not at the correct
distance from the burner (correct position fig. 48).
Before pressing OK to unblock the alarm, wait for the countdown
displayed on the screen to finish.
After pressing the OK button, wait 5 seconds before trying to start
the oven again.
If the burner lights up for a few seconds and then blocks, check that
the live and neutral power supply is correct; also check that the
detector is working properly.
