ADJUSTMENTS
FWD/REV FOOTPEDAL (arm to hydrostat)
NOTE: Stop engine between each adjustment.
1. Lift both right side wheels off the ground.

2. Remove balljoint N from bracket U and let it
hang.
3. Start the engine to see if the wheels turn. If not,
go to step 4. If they do turn, adjust as follows:
a) At the hydrostat, loosen balljoint jamnut L.
b) Start the engine.
c) Turn bolt M until the wheels stop turning.
d) Lightly push/pull on bolt M to check for
play. Adjust locknut R, if necessary, to
remove play in spring. Repeat (c) if
needed.
e) Tighten jamnut L.
f) Stop the engine.
4. Verify the footpedal is in the neutral position. In
neutral, the Neutral Latch is snapped up and
prevents footpedal rotation. Line up balljoint N
with footpedal bracket U (it may be necessary
to loosen locknut H and advance or withdraw
the balljoint by rotating it on its rod) and as-
semble to bracket. Start the engine and verify
that the wheels don't turn. If they turn, stop the
engine, remove balljoint N and repeat this
procedure. Repeat until the wheels don't turn.
5. Tighten all nuts loosened for adjustment.
HYDRAULIC DECK VALVE
No adjustments should be necessary to the
cutterdeck valve. Cutterdeck pressure can be
measured at port Z. Relief pressure is 3,200 p.s.i.
Consult the Ransomes Service Department if
relief pressure change is required.
