Using the accessories properly

Shank
The cross-blade adapter and the stirring adapter (butterfl y) are placed on the shank. The
device cannot be operated without the shank.
Insertion
1. Before inserting the shank, make sure that the sealing ring is properly fi tted
on in it. Otherwise, there is a risk of the liquid running out of the mixing bowl into the
motor unit and damaging the device.
If the sealing ring is not properly mounted, push it all the way up the shank until it is
secure behind the two catches on the shank.
Removal
Follow the steps on insertion in reverse order:
1. Hold the shank tight with one hand.

2. Hold the narrow end of shank and insert it
through the opening in the mixing bowl bottom.
Make sure that the shank is completely rest-
ing on the bottom of the mixing bowl. The two
catches on the shank must be inserted through
the recesses in the mixing bowl.
3. Hold the shank and turn the mixing bowl up-
side down. Tighten the wing nut by turning it
clockwise up to the stop point.
4. Make sure that the shank is securely seated.
