2. Turn the mixing bowl upside down and loosen the wing nut by turning it counterclock-
wise.
3. Pull the shank out of the mixing bowl.
Cross-blade adapter
PLEASE NOTE!
■ CAUTION – Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never hold the cross-
blade adapter by the blades. Hold it on the top end when inserting and removing it.
The cross-blade adapter chops, stirs and blends the ingredients in the mixing bowl. It is
also suitable for preparing dough.
1. Insert the shank into the mixing bowl (see above).
Stirring adapter (butterfl y)
PLEASE NOTE!
Risk of damage to the stirring adapter!
■ With the stirring adapter on, do not exceed the speed level 4.
■ The spatula must not be used when the stirring adapter is in use.
■ Do not add any food that could damage or block the stirring adapter when the device
is running. The stirring adapter is not suitable for kneading dough.
The stirring adapter (without the cleaning pads) is suitable for whipping cream or egg
whites and stirring soups, pudding, sauces, milk rice etc.
• The stirring adapter is fi tted on the shank with the wings facing down. The brackets
have to be closed (see below).
• To take it back off, turn it gently back and forth while pulling it up and off.
If the two supplied cleaning pads are fi tted to the stirring adapter it can be used to clean
the mixing bowl.
1. Below the wings, the stirring adapter has brackets, each with a locking cap. Pull the
cap away from the bracket. Now the bracket can be opened a little.
2. Wrap a pad around the bracket with the coarse side outwards, close the bracket and
press the cap back into the recess.
3. Repeat the process with the second bracket.
4. To remove the cleaning pads, open the brackets.

2. Hold the top end of the cross-blade adapter
and put it on the shank in the mixing bowl.
• To take the cross-blade adapter back off, hold
its top end and turn it gently back and forth
while pulling it up and off.
