Maintenance

Always rinse the metering head to remove dangerous media and depressurise the
CAUTION
pressure circuit before repair and servicing work. Wear protective clothing (safety goggles,
safety gloves and apron).
Repairs on electrical equipment may only be carried out by trained electricians
(Employers' Liability Association safety rules VB G 4 and ZH 1/11).
Live parts may be exposed when opening covers or removing parts, apart from covers that
CAUTION
can be opened or parts that can be removed without using tools). Connection points may
also be live.
Before any adjustment, maintenance work, repair work or exchange of parts, the device
must be disconnected from all sources of power if opening of the device is necessary.
The normal maintenance interval is every six months, but shorter intervals may be
NOTE
required if parts are subjected to heavy stresses (e.g. continuous operation)
The following inspections are recommended:
 suction pipes and pressure pipes for leak-free connections;
 suction valve and pressure valve for dirt and tightness;
 discharge connection (chapter
 correct metering;
 metering head screws (stable seat, 12 Nm);
(chapter 11.1.2, "Exchanging the pump head and the diaphragms" Fig. 11.5, pos. 1),
 oil level on the oil-level gauge glass (minimum fill quantity, see Fig. 11.6).
The service life of the diaphragm depends on the following:
NOTE
We recommend that you check the diaphragm more frequently in extreme operating
conditions and if metering abrasive substances.

Replacement of suction/pressure valves

 Loosen value in an anticlockwise direction using a spanner
(1¼" valve SW 41; 2" valve SW 56) and unscrew it.
 Exchange o-rings.
 Screw the valve into the metering head; heed the direction arrow! (Points up!)
