16.Defrosting and water drainage (Rif. 19)

The line of Panama 2 refrigerated cabinets comes with a standard feature of a
defrosting system with simple stop (by stopping the refrigeration cycle).
It is possible to request the optional featue of an electrical defrosting system (the
defrosting takes place via stop of the refrigeration cycle and the use of an armored
electrical resistance in the evaporator).

16_1.Water drainage:

To evacuate the defrost water you must:
provide a drain to ground with a slight slope (Rif. 20);
install the syphon supplied between the drain pipe of the cabinet and the connection
to ground.
hermetically seal the area of drain to ground.
In this way, it is possible to avoid: bad odors inside the cabinet, dispersion of
refrigerated air, and the possible malfunction of the cabinet due to humidity.
Periodically check that the hydraulic connections are perfectly efficient,
contacting a qualified installer.

17.Lighting

The internal lighting of the cabinet is provided by fluorescence lamps type OSRAM
830. The lights switch is on the side of the overhead light.

18.Replacing the lamps (Rif. 18)

To replace the lamps, proceed as follows:
Remove power supply from the cabinet.
Disconnect the overhead light ensemble from the deck.
Remove the protection in methacrylate (1), remove the lamp (2) from its seat, and
replace it with the new one.
Reinsert the lamp, checking that the contacts are housed correctly in their specific
holes.
Reassemble the protection in methacrylate.
Refasten the overhead light ensemble on the deck.
Restore electrical power supply.

19.Night blind - optional - (Rif. 26)

To avoid useless cold dispersions and to ensure hygiene of the goods displayed at
night, manual or motorized night blinds are available as optional features. The
excursion of the night blind, if motorized, is adjusted during the testing phase. For
correct operation of the cabinet, the lower end of the night blind must stay at a distance
of about 10 mm from the suction sheet; it must neither rest on it nor exceed this limit.
The motorized blind switch is placed next to the lights switch.

19_1.Instructions on how to assemble the manual night blinds

The assembly instructions are the same for both night blind models (Mod. 1-Mod. 2):
Fix the blind supports 1 (A).
Load the spring by turning the flat pin 7 clockwise, holding the blind still so that the
triangle on the pipe cap is at the top (with the point facing down) (B).
Insert the flat pin in the blind support. If you wish to use the automatic stop so that
the blind blocks at every turn, you must insert the flat pin in the position with the "UP"
wording at the top (B) If the blind is assembled in a different position, the automatic
stop is de-inserted.
