Connection of the suction and pressure tubes (dosing lines)
CAUTION!
When connecting the suction and charge pipe, make sure that the O-rings
are mounted on the connections in order to achieve the necessary sealing.
To protect the metering system, we strongly recommend the use of a suction
lance with an empty signal system and mud guard from our accessory
programme. The empty signal feature causes the pump to cut off if the
medium in the container drops below a certain level.
Suction lines should be kept as short as possible.
Long and intertwined suction tubes can lead to accumulation of air in
the system.
The suction height must be max. 2 m and the flow rate max. 0.3 m/s.
The suction line must always be installed sloping upwards towards the
metering pump.
A metering monitoring device, such as an oval gear meter
monitor, must be installed into the metering line downstream of the
overflow valve and upstream of a pressure control valve or metering
valve.
