LOCAL MESSAGE PLAYBACK TEST

The following procedure makes it possible to listen to a message previously recorded as described in the section "RECORDING A LOCAL
MESSAGE". The procedure can be useful for checking the recording before it is actually used (transmission in the audio zones). You can li-
sten to the message using headphones or through an amplified speaker connected to the "PHONE" socket (ref. 26 – Fig. 1, page 132).
1) Press "PLAY" (ref. 14 – Fig. 1, page 132). The corresponding LED (ref. 17 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up, and the following message appears
on the console display, indicating that the playback is in pause status and confirmation is necessary before it is started.
2) Press "CLEAR" to cancel the operation and exit from the menu. The "PLAY" LED goes off, and the last message shown before going in-
to the menu returns to the console display (normally "COMMUNICATION ON").
3) Press "ENTER" to begin the playback, which stops automatically at the end of the message (according to the duration of the recording).
The "CLEAR" LED (ref. 7 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up, the "PLAY" LED (ref. 17 – Fig. 1, page 132) begins to flash, and the display shows
the following message.
3a) Press "CLEAR" to interrupt playback and exit from the menu. The "PLAY" and "CLEAR" LEDs go off, and the display shows the last
message displayed before going into the menu (normally "COMMUNICATION ON").
4) At the end of playback, the "CLEAR" (ref. 7 – Fig. 1, page 132) LED remains on, the "PLAY" LED (ref. 17 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up in
continuous mode, and the following message appears on the display.
4a) To play the message again, proceed as described in point (3).
4b) To exit from the menu, press "CLEAR". The "PLAY" and "CLEAR" LEDs go off.

TRANSMITTING A LOCAL MESSAGE (local playback)

The following procedure makes it possible to transmit in specific audio zones (or groups of zones) a local message previously recorded and
stored in the memory of the console as described in the section "RECORDING A LOCAL MESSAGE".
1) Select the zones in which you want to transmit the audio signal (message or tone), as described in the section "SELECTING ONE OR MO-
RE AUDIO ZONES", or in the section "SELECTING ALL THE AUDIO ZONES".
IMPORTANT NOTE
• Before proceeding to the next point, at least one zone or group of zones must be selected.
2) Press "PLAY" (ref. 14 – Fig. 1, page 132). The corresponding LED (ref. 17 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up, and the following message appears
on the console display.
3) Press "ENTER" to send the request to the CP 3100 control unit to use the audio zones selected (or groups of zones). Playback is carried
out when all the audio zones selected are available. The "ENTER" LED (ref. 15 – Fig. 1, page 132) and "CLEAR" LED (ref. 7 – Fig. 1, pa-
ge 132) light up, and the message below appears on the display, indicating that you must wait a few seconds while a check is made on
the free/engaged status of the zones (or groups of zones) selected.
When the check is terminated, one of the following messages appears on the display:
a.
Indicates that all the zones (or groups of zones) of the current selection are engaged. The playback is in pause status and will be made
when all the zones selected are available. The LEDs of the numerical keys corresponding to the previously selected zones (or groups of
zones) flash.
b.
Indicates that only some zones (or groups of zones) of the current selection are free and available. The playback is in pause status and
