This message indicates that the console has been programmed correctly; i.e. all the operating parameters sent from the control unit are cor-
rect. This is the message that appears under normal circumstances when there are no problems.
b.
UNPROGRAMMED !
This message indicates that one or more console operating parameters, which must be programmed on the CP 3100 control unit, have not
been stored or were stored incorrectly. For example, the message "UNPROGRAMMED !" appears if the CP 3100 control unit has never sent
the configuration parameters to the console. For a description of the parameters that are programmed using the CP 3100 control unit, see the
section "PARAMETERS SENT FROM THE CONTROL UNIT". To view the current status of the operating parameters stored on the console di-
splay, following the instructions in the section "DISPLAY OF THE PARAMETERS STORED".
NOTES
• In the event of an error in password programming, the console keys can still be used (if programmed correctly).
• In the event of a programming error on one or more console keys, none of the keys can be used until they have been correctly configured
on the CP 3100 control unit.
• When the message "UNPROGRAMMED !" is displayed, the "LOCAL FAULT" LED flashes.
c.
ADDRESS = ??
This message indicates that a valid address for the console has not been stored. This means that an address must be assigned to the con-
sole, as described in point (2) of the section "CONSOLE ADDRESSING".
NOTES
• When the message "ADDRESS = ??" is displayed, the "LOCAL FAULT" LED flashes.
• The message "ADDRESS = ??" is always displayed following replacement of the EEPROM memory (if not programmed).
d.
CHIME ? (0:3)
This message indicates that a valid number of tones for the pre-announcement signal has not been stored. This condition means that you
need to select the number of tones desired, as described in point (3) of the section "CONFIGURING THE PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT SIGNAL".
NOTES
• When the message "CHIME? (0:3)" is displayed, the "LOCAL FAULT" LED flashes.
• The message "CHIME? (0:3)" is always displayed following replacement of the EEPROM memory (if not programmed).
e.
EEPROM FAULT !
This message indicates a functional problem with the console's EEPROM memory. In this case, try reconfiguring the console address as de-
scribed in the section "CONSOLE ADDRESSING". If the problem persists, contact your RCF service centre to replace the EEPROM.
NOTE
• When the message "EEPROM FAULT !" is displayed, the "LOCAL FAULT" LED flashes.

NOTES ON THE KEY FUNCTIONS

When the "F1", "F2", "F3", "RECORD", "PLAY", or "GENERAL CALL" key is pressed, the function associated to it (see the section "CON-
TROLS AND FUNCTIONS") cannot be cancelled individually by simply pressing the key again, but the entire procedure carried out up to that
moment must be cancelled by pressing the "CLEAR" key.
The only keys that can be unselected individually are the numerical keys ("1" to "16") used for the selection of audio zones and/or groups of
zones. This operation cannot be carried out if one of the following keys is subsequently pressed: "ENTER", "PLAY", "GENERAL CALL", or
a function key (e.g. "F1") configured for the playback of an audio signal (remote playback).
When more than one numerical key ("1" to "16") for the selection of zones and/or groups of zones has been selected, along with a function
key configured for relay switching (e.g. "F2"), it is possible to cancel the selection of the zones/groups individually. Eliminating the selection
of the last zone or group of zones cancels the entire procedure.

ACOUSTIC SIGNALLING DEVICE

The console is equipped with an acoustic signalling device (buzzer) that emits a beep in the following situations:
• when a key is pressed.
• when it is necessary to give an advisory signal (e.g. message of reply from the control unit).
