Indicates that all the zones (or groups of zones) previously selected are connected to the console. The "PTT" key is enabled, and it is
possible to make the announcement. The LEDs of the numerical keys corresponding to the previously selected zones (or groups of zo-
nes) are on in continuous mode.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• The console is equipped with a timer that cancels any zone selection if the "PTT" key is not pressed within 85 seconds from being ena-
bled (message "PTT ENABLED" or "> BUSY ZONES <"). This function prevents keeping the selected audio zones unnecessarily enga-
ged.
• Due to special events (e.g. an emergency situation), the status of the zones may change. Free zones already connected to the console
could be engaged by other users having absolute priority ("override" capacity).
• The messages on the display and the way the LEDs are lit indicate the status of the system, and can therefore vary at any time (e.g. chan-
ge in status of the zones from free to engaged or vice versa).
3) To cancel the request made, press "CLEAR". The LEDs of the zone/group selection keys go off, along with the "ENTER" and "CLEAR"
LEDs, and the message preceding the selection reappears on the console display (e.g. "COMMUNICATION ON").
4) Press "PTT" and keep it pressed. If no zone or group of zones was previously selected, the following message appears on the console
display:
If a number of tones other than zero was selected in the configuration of the pre-announcement signal (see the section "CONFIGURING
THE PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT SIGNAL), the "PTT" LED flashes and the signal configured (1, 2, or 3 tones) is transmitted. The following
message appears on the console display:
On termination of the pre-announcement signal, or immediately after the "PTT" key has been pressed, if no pre-announcement signal has
been configured ("CHIME = 0" configuration), the console microphone is activated. The lighted ring on the microphone unit lights up,
and the following message is shown on the console display:
IMPORTANT NOTES
• During transmission of the pre-announcement signal, the console microphone remains off (lighted ring on the microphone unit off).
• If "PTT" is pressed and released instantly, no pre-announcement signal is generated, even when it has been configured.
• The pre-announcement signal is generated if the "PTT" key is kept pressed down for at least 0.5 seconds.
5) Make the announcement.
6) Release the "PTT" key at the end of the announcement. The console microphone is disactivated, all the LEDs of the zone/group selection
keys go off, as well as those of "ENTER", "CLEAR" and "PTT", and the message preceding the selection reappears on the console di-
splay (e.g. "COMMUNICATION ON").

TRANSMITTING A REMOTE MESSAGE (remote playback)

This message makes it possible to transmit an audio signal stored on the CP 3100 control unit to specific audio zones (or groups of zones).
The function can only be used when the function keys "F1", "F2", and "F3" are suitably configured (see the section "USING THE F1 – F2 –
F3 FUNCTION KEYS").
1) Select the zones in which you want to transmit the audio signal (message or tone), proceeding as described "SELECTING ONE OR MO-
RE AUDIO ZONES", or in the section "SELECTING ALL THE AUDIO ZONES".
IMPORTANT NOTE
• It is not possible to proceed as indicated in the following point unless at least one zone or a group of zones has been selected.
2) Press the function key associated to the playback of the desired audio signal (e.g. "F1" - see the section "DISPLAY OF STORED PARA-
METERS"). The corresponding LED lights up, and the following message appears on the console display:
If no zone or group of zones has been previously selected, the message below appears on the console display:
and subsequently, the message preceding the selection reappears (e.g. "COMMUNICATION ON").
