Connect terminal strip "A" (Fig. 2, page 133) using a 2-conductor cable having an adequate cross-section for the distance to be covered. The
resistance of the cable be sufficient to prevent voltage drop of no more than 8 Vdc (minimum power supply voltage of the console = 16 Vdc).
To determine the power cable cross-section, see the absorption values indicated in the section "SPECIFICATIONS", and keep in mind that
consumption varies in inverse proportion to the power supply voltage applied to the console. In applications in which the necessary cross-
section cannot be practically used, you can use a local power supplier without any particular stabilization characteristics.
Connect terminal strips "B" and "C" (Fig. 2, page 133) using a screened bipolar cable. The sheath is connected to just one end of the cable.
To facilitate connections, the terminal strips are removable and can be separated from the electronic board.

TERMINATING THE SERIAL LINE

On the last BM 3616 console connected to the RS 485 serial line, it is necessary to move the jumper "JP6" (ref. "D" – Fig. 2, page 133) in or-
der to terminate the serial line on a suitable resistance. The jumper can have 2 different positions and short circuit two of the three terminals
on the board.

ADJUSTMENTS

CAUTION
• The adjustments described in this section must only be carried out by qualified and well-trained personnel.

ADJUSTING THE INTERNAL TRIMMERS

CAUTION
• To ensure efficient console operation, do not make any adjustments not described in this section.
A number of trimmers inside the console are used for adjusting various functions, as shown in the tables below.

FUNCTION
Adjusts the frequency of the pre-announcement signal (chime). Turning the
trimmer clockwise increases the frequency.
Adjusts the level of the pre-announcement signal (chime). Turning the trim-
mer clockwise increases the level.
Adjusts the headphones output level. Turning the trimmer clockwise in-
creases the level.
Adjusts the level of the balanced audio output (terminal strip "C", Figure
