Initial start-up of the metering pump

7.4.1

Operating state

After the mains voltage is applied, the display becomes illuminated, and the
configuration setting is shown:
Fig. 15: Display after the mains voltage is applied with the current configuration
The pump is configured as follows in the as-delivered state:
n
Operating mode: Pulse / Division
n
Division factors: DN20 and DN25 = factor 1, DN40 = factor 2
n
Auto start: enabled
n
Max. stroke frequency: 50 Hz = 122 strokes/min, 60 Hz = 146 strokes/min
n
State: Pump in an "OFF" operating state (not ready for operation)

Setting the required concentration

When using the certified chemicals ST-DOS T300, a concentration of 100 ppm is
specified.
Therefore, this concentration (100 ml / m³ at a back-pressure of 0.6 MPa (6 bar)) is
factory-set on the compact metering device.
If other chemicals are used, a different concentration (metering capacity) may have to be
set.
The metering capacity is adjustable by means of mechanical stroke length setting
between 100 % and 30 % of the pump's rated capacity.
Reproducible accuracy can no longer be guaranteed below 30 %.
CAUTION!
Changing the stroke length settings is only possible when the pump is
running.
NOTICE!
The DVGW certification only applies when using the chemical
ST-DOS T300 from Schweitzer Chemie. If another chemical is used, this
will invalidate the DVGW approval.
