DANGER!
Particular caution is required when handling chemical metering media!
Metering media may escape which may cause skin irritation, depending on
its properties. Therefore, before bleeding, always read the product data
sheet for the metering medium to prevent any type of injuries!
To ensure optimum priming performance, the stroke length should be set to
100%, and the stroke frequency should be set to maximum.
If the pump has no suction or insufficient suction, checks must be carried
out as to whether the connection is correct.
DANGER!
After 24 hours in operation, the metering head screws are to be re-
tightened crosswise with a torque of approximately 3-4 Nm.
DANGER!
If the metering pipe can be shut off, an overflow valve (safety valve) should
be installed on the pressure side, which opens at the maximum permissible
pressure level, in order to protect the metering line. This may prevent the
metering pipe from bursting in the event of an operator error.
Under unfavourable conditions, the pressure may rise to three times the
nominal pressure.

Personal protective equipment, hereinafter referred to as PPE, is used to
protect personnel. It is imperative to pay attention to the PPE described in
the product data sheet for the metered medium.
