Installation
Set-up and assembly
The ATS-ROTOR is delivered ready for connection. The installation site is to be specified by the user.
The assembly of the ATS-ROTOR is processed via the 4 clear holes for the use of M8 bolts onto a suitable
vibration-free surface. Please check before assembling for collision free access of the WH cable assembly
being mounted onto the robot arm.
Pneumatic connection
Requirement:
• Air supply hose min. 6 mm internal bore
• Screw connection G 1/4"
• Compressed air 6 bar, anhydrous, cleaned and oiled,
For compressed air connection, please refer to the pneumatic plan.
Requirement for oil-free operation:
In addition to the maintenance unit a fine-mesh filter <10 µm must be used.
Setting
The rotor stroke is limited with limit screws in the final "up" position with respect to pneumatic control, the
final position damping of both stroke cylinders and the stroke velocity results in a smooth operation of the
cam lifter.
The fork head stroke of the changeover station is preset.
Attention!
When re-equipping the robot with other WH cable assembly types or other torch geometries,
please ensure that the new set-up can gain collision free access to the rotor.
• HF-ignition sources min. 1.5 m
• HF-connection cables min. 0.2 m
Information!
Install the DAV between the ATS-ROTOR and the welding position.
Please refer to the additional operating instructions for the "DAV" .
Danger!
Please consider that up to final installation, the ATS-ROTOR must not be connected to both, the
air and power supply source.
which is supplied via a maintenance unit (accessories).
Attention!
The ATS-ROTOR is suitable for oil-free operation, the compressed air ,however, must be anhy-
drous and cleaned/filtered.
Once the ATS-ROTOR has been operated with oiled compressed air, it must always be operated
with oiled compressed air.
Attention!
The pre-settings must not be altered, as the guide bolt may be damaged.
Attention!
Small alterations regarding the fork head stroke may become necessary in the case of a worn
change-over body. This is only to be carried out by trained staff.
