Additional bolt for tall doors
For doors with a height greater than 2 m, it is possible to expand the 3-way locking system of the electric
multi-point lock 819N to a 4-way locking system (Fig. 21, Fig. 27).
For this purpose, an additional bolt is attached mechanically on the upper-most bolt of the 3-way locking
system. All locks of the latest design are prepared for this expansion, so the additional bolt can be retrofit-
ted at any time.
The additional bolt offers the possibility of providing high doors with additional mechanical safeguarding.
When fitted with the additional bolt, unusually tall doors will meet requirements for approval with
intrusion-resistant effect. Without the additional bolt, tall doors (particularly tubular frame doors) are at
risk of manipulation and opening from the outside.
