Changing the panic side
The panic side of a lock with escape door function ("Escape door function/emergency exit and panic door
locks", page 45) must be adjusted before installation. The panic side of the lock must be adjusted so
that the door can be opened in the escape direction (normally outward from inside) with the door handle,
regardless of the locking status of the lock.
Warning!
An incorrectly adjusted panic side can result in life-threatening danger and risk of injury: After install-
ing the lock, check whether the locked door can be opened in the escape direction.
