Switch the eBike „on" as per the manufacturer's instructions
Gear indicator
Each motor manufacturer enables the currently selected SPEEDHUB 500/14 gear, to
be shown in their display. Please refer to the motor manufacturers instruction manual
for details as to this feature can be activated.
Changing gears
The method of shifting gears will differ depending on the motor system in use. Typi-
cally, riders will shift with either a button or lever.
Multishift Function
Should either of the Switch Unit buttons be pushed and held down, the Rohloff E-14
shifting mechanism will shift one gear as normal, then pause, before shifting 3 gears
in rapid succession. The shifting system will then pause for 0.5 seconds again before
shifting another 3 gears and continue to shift in this "3-gear/pause/3-gear" sequence
until reaching the bedstop for that chosen direction (i.e. gear #14 when holding the „+"
button or gear #1 when holding the „-" button).
With the Bosch Smart System, Multishift can be activated and deactivated via the E-
14 app.
Switch Unit (BOSCH)
This shifter incorporates 3 buttons:
„up" Shifts gears upwards towards gear #14
„down" Shifts gears downward towards #1
Each button press shifts one gear.
„M" For configuration purposes only
Lever (Panasonic FIT)
This shifter moves in two directiony:
„◄" Shifts gears downward towards #1
„►" Shifts gears upwards towards gear #14
Each button press shifts one gear.
