Use a stepped drill bit to drill a 3/8-inch (9.5mm) hole in the
leading edge of the wing. The stepped drill bit will not tear the
covering like a standard drill bit. Use a 1/4 inch (6mm) round
fi le to enlarge the hole to the correct diameter.

Inspect the base for the guns, as they are shaped to match
the airfoil of the wing with the longer edge on the top of the
wing. Check the fi t of the bases into the leading edge of the
wing.

Use a long piece of low-tack tape by placing a short 2-inch
(52mm) piece of tape in the center of the long piece so the
adhesive sides are together. This will provide an area where
the back of the tape will rest against the bases, preventing
the tape from accidentally removing the paint from the base.
Glue the bases into the leading edge of the wing, using the
tape to hold the bases in position until the epoxy fully cures.
