► Adjust the length of the harness strap (1) or
full harness (3) so that the carabiner (2) is
about a hand's width below the top of your hip.
► Attach the carabiner (1) to the carrying ring (2)
on the trimmer / brushcutter.
15.2
Adjusting the Loop Handle
The loop handle can be mounted to suit the
height and reach of the operator.
To adjust the position of the loop handle:
► Switch off the power tool,
► Remove the battery,

► Loosen the clamping lever (2).
► Slide the loop handle (1) to the desired posi‐
tion, subject to the following limitations:
– Always keep the spacer (3) positioned
between the loop handle and carrier ring.
– a = Move the loop handle (1) no further than
the red mark (4) on the warning symbol.
► Tighten the clamping lever (2) until the loop
handle (1) is secure and can no longer be
moved along the drive tube.

Balancing the Trimmer / Brush‐
cutter
Battery and cutting attachment affect the balance
of the trimmer / brushcutter. The trimmer / brush‐
cutter must be balanced with the cutting attach‐
ment mounted and the battery inserted.
The unit is balanced differently depending on the
cutting attachment used.
If a mowing head is mounted:
The mowing head should come to rest gently on
the ground.
If a metal cutting attachment is mounted:
The metal cutting attachment must hover at a
height of about 8 in. (20 cm) above the ground
should come to rest gently on the ground.
► Let the trimmer / brushcutter sway on the har‐
ness until it stops moving.
The mowing head or the metal cutting attach‐
ment should come to rest gently on the ground
or just above the ground.
