Storing Image Data on a
USB Flash Memory

Device

When a USB flash memory device is inserted into the
USB host port on the front of the printer, on-screen
image data (which was captured) is stored as JPEG
(Joint Photographic Experts Group) image data on the
USB flash memory device when you print this captured
image data for the first time.
You can see the image data stored in the USB flash
memory via a personal computer equipped with a USB
port.
File name of the image
Each time you print image data captured by pressing the
PRINT button, the image data is stored as JPEG image
data, with a name assigned, in order, from UP_0001 to
UP_9999. In the case of reduced images, each reduced
image is stored as one file. However, the image data is
stored only when it is printed for the first time. Image
data printed once is not stored again.
Also, the time stamp is added to the file.
To make printouts with the correct date
The day and time setting is necessary.
For detailed information, see "Setting Date and Time"
on page 20.

To remove the USB flash memory
Whenever the access lamp is lit, the printer is writing
data on the USB flash memory device.
If you remove the USB flash memory device while the
access lamp is lit, the image data will not be written
correctly.
When the message USB MEMORYFULL or USB
MEMORY FILE NAME FULL appears
The USB memory is full or the maximum number of
images have already been stored, and no further image
data cannot be stored on this device.
In this case, delete unnecessary files from the USB flash
memory device using a personal computer or use a new
USB flash memory.
You can select the printer operation when the USB flash
memory device becomes full.
