Relative centrifugal force RCF and centrifuging radius RAD

Centrifugation of substances or mixtures of substances with a density higher than
1.2 kg/dm

The relative centrifugal force RCF is dependent on the centrifuging radius
RAD. The centrifuging radius must be set before setting the relative centri-
fugal force.

The density of the substances or mixtures of substances must not exceed
1.2 kg/dm³ during centrifugation at maximum speed. The speed must be
reduced for substances or substance mixtures with a higher density. The
permissible speed can be calculated using the following formula:
For example: Maximum speed 4000 RPM, density 1.6 kg/dm³
If, in exceptional cases, the maximum load indicated on the bucket is
exceeded, the speed must also be reduced. The permissible speed can
be calculated using the following formula:
For example: Maximum speed 4000 RPM, maximum load 300 g, actual
load 350 g
