Potential cause/solution
Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket?
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
Check the fuse for your mains connection.
Has the baking tray been correctly inserted?
Has the lid been closed properly?
Did you press the Start/Stop button?
The device has overheated. Turn the device off and pull
the mains plug out of the socket Take the baking pan with
the ingredients out of the device and then let the device
cool off COMPLETELY before using it again.
Did you use fresh yeast? Use dry yeast. Dry yeast is ea-
sier to handle and does not have to be mixed fi rst.
Did you use enough yeast? Check the quantity indicated in
the recipe and measure it precisely.
Is the yeast too old? Check the shelf life.
Did you add the ingredients to the baking pan in the right
order? The yeast should not come into contact with the
salt too soon.
Did you use too much salt and not enough sugar? Check
the information in your recipe and weigh/measure the in-
gredients exactly.
What kind of fl our did you use? Is the fl our suitable for
baking bread? Check the information on the package and,
if applicable, use another fl our.
Is the quality of the fl our used still okay? The properties
of the fl our may deteriorate if stored incorrectly (moisture,
temperature, excessive storage time).
You used too much yeast. Check the quantity indicated in
the recipe and measure it precisely.
You used too much water or the water was too warm.
Some fl our types absorb more water than others. Next
time, add approximately 10 – 20 ml less liquid.
