Cleaning and care

ATTENTION!
Risk of injury associated with sharp blade! Never touch the cutting surface of the
cutting blade; instead always grasp the holder.
Prior to each cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Danger of electrocution! Never immerse the device in water or other liquids and nev-
er hold it under running water. Never touch the device, cord or plug with wet hands.
Caution! Damage to the device! The device and the accessories are not suitable
for the dishwasher!
The surfaces could be damaged as a result! Do not use any aggressive, scouring
or abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads.
Check the mains cord regularly for damage.
Pull the slicing carriage back as far as it will go.
Take the fi nger guard off of the device.
Unscrew the locking screw (2) clockwise.
Carefully remove the cutting blade.
Wipe off the device with a damp cloth. You can also rinse the fi nger guard and cutting
blade with water and a mild detergent.
Dry off all parts.
Insert the cutting blade back in the device and tighten the locking screw by turning it
counterclockwise.

Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself fi rst.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!

Potential cause/solution
Is the On/Off switch pushed down?
Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket?
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
Check the fuse for your mains connection.
Is the device overheated? Wait until the device has cooled
off and then try again.
