Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
• Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm and heat resistant
surface.
• Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not
allow the cable to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen work-
top. Someone could catch him/herself and pull down the device.
• Make sure that the mains cord does not get pinched, kinked or
laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot
surfaces.
• Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (observe the Max mark on
the water tank!).
• Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or
ovens to prevent damage to the device. Do not place any open
fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the direct vicinity of the device,
cord and plug.
• Do not overheat the motor! Let the device cool off (for approx.
30 minutes) after no more than 10 minutes of continuous oper-
ation!
• Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong
percussions.
• Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
• Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperature, moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
• Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
• Do not disassemble the device and do not insert any objects
into it.
• Never place heavy objects on the device.
• Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the device. They could damage the surface.
Hygienic notes
• The device may have production residue stuck to it. To avoid
health risks, clean the device before fi rst use (see chapter
"Cleaning and care").
• Keep the device clean.
