Storing Dried Food

Dried food must be stored correctly to retain the colour, fl avour and quality for as long
as possible.
Store the dried food in closed containers, ideally in freezer bags, in a dark and cool
place.
Make sure that the food is completely dry:
1. Place it into the freezer bags, squeeze out as much air as possible and then seal
the bags shut.
2. Store the bags in a closed container.
3. Check the bags after a few days. If you can see droplets of water in the bag, the
contents are not completely dry and need to be dried again.

Cleaning and Storing the Device

CAUTION!
Danger of burns Allow the device to cool down completely before cleaning it.
Danger of electric shock Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket before cleaning
the base unit.
Danger of electric shock Never immerse the base unit, mains cable or plug in water
or other liquids. Never touch them with wet hands. The base unit is not dishwasher-
safe.
Surfaces may be damaged Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents or scouring sponges to clean the device. These can damage the surface.
Clean the used drying racks and the lid immediately after each use to prevent the
formation of germs:
1. Rinse the drying racks and the lid with clear water and mild detergent and then dry
them thoroughly. The drying racks and the lid can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
2. As required, wipe down the base unit with a clean, damp cloth. Then wipe it dry.
3. Make sure that all parts are completely dry before you reassemble them.
4. Store the device in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to children and animals.
The plastic parts may suffer discolouration over time. However, this does not have
any negative effect on either your health or the way that the device parts work.
