b) Setting the Rotor Blade Track
Both rotor blades must run on the same level for calm and vibration-free hover flight. Looking at the rotor circle at eye
level during hover flight, you will quickly see if one blade is lower or higher than the other. If required, mark one blade
tip with a bit of red tape to increase visibility of the individual blades.
If, for example, the right rotor blade (1) in figure 30 is too
high and the left one (2) too low, the ball-head socket of the
front linkage rod (3) must be disconnected and shortened
slightly by twisting it. Alternatively, the rear linkage (4) can
also be extended by turning the sockets.
Important:
Always turn the sockets by a half or a whole
turn and perform another test flight. This way,
you can approach the best setting step by step.
c) Setting the Servo Deflections
The receiver/controller unit (1) offers the option of influenc-
ing the nod and roll servo deflection.
The controller for the deflection values (2) is below the LED
display (3) of the receiver/controller unit (1).
If you turn the controller (2) farther to the left with a suitable
screwdriver, the servo deflections increase and the model
reacts more strongly to the nod and roll control commands.
If you turn the controller farther to the right, the deflections
decrease and the model no longer reacts as strongly to the
nod and roll control commands.
The controller was factory-pre-set perfectly.
Therefore, you should not change its settings if
you are content with your model's steering be-
haviour.
For better illustration, figure 31 shows the mechanics re-
moved from the fuselage. Settings can also be made while
installed by using the corresponding openings (4) in the fu-
selage side.
The short wire at the receiver/controller unit (see figure 28,
item 5) serves as a receiver aerial and should be installed in
the cabin canopy as straight as possible. The wire must not
be shortened or rolled up.
