The menu (15) button is used to set different programs. The program will change
each time it is pressed, accompanied by a short beep. Press the button continuo-
usly and the 12 programs (11) will be cycled and shown in the Program indicator
(12). Select your desired program. The functions of the 12 programs are descri-
bed below.
1. basic: kneads, rises and bakes normal bread. You may also add ingredients
to add flavor.
2. French: kneads, rises and bakes with a longer rise time. Bread baked using
this setting will have a crisp crust and light texture.
3. whole wheat: kneads, rises and bakes whole wheat bread. This setting has
a longer preheat time to allow the grain to soak up water and expand. It is
not advised to use the delay function as this can produce poor results.
4. Quick: kneads, rises and bakes bread with baking soda or baking powder.
Bread baked using this setting is usually smaller with a dense texture.
5. sweet: kneads, rises and bakes sweat bread. Bread baked using this setting
is crisp and sweet.
6. ultra fast-i: kneads, rises and bakes a 1.5LB loaf in the shortest time. Bread
baked using this setting is smaller and rougher than bread made with the
Quick program.
7. ultra fast-ii: the same as above, but bakes a 2.0LB loaf.
8. dough: kneads and rises, but does not bake. Remove the dough and shape
it to make bread rolls, pizza, steamed bread, etc.
9. Jam: used for boiling jams and marmalades.
10. Cake: kneads, rises, and bakes, rising with soda or baking powder.
11. sandwich: kneads rises and bakes sandwich bread. Break baked using this
setting has a light texture with a thinner crust.
12. bake: only bakes; no kneading and rising. Also used to increase baking time
for selected settings.
COlOr
With the COlOr (19) button you can select a LIGHT, MEDIUM or DARK color for
the crust. Press this button to select your desired crust color.
lOaF siZE
Press the lOaF siZE (16) button to select the loaf size of the bread. Please note
that the total operation time may vary with different loaf sizes.
