Nach dem Anlegen des Sitzgurtes ist
durch Belastung mit dem Körpergewicht
der korrekte Sitz zu prüfen. Mit dem kor-
rekt angelegten Gurt steigt man über die
Brüstung der Kabine. Dabei ist große Vor-
sicht geboten, bis man frei am Seil unter
der Kabine schwebt (1). Ein frei auf dem
Seil verschiebbarer Schlauch (2) dient
dabei als Kantenschutz. Dieser Schlauch
ist je nach Situation an die Stelle zu schie-
ben, an der das Seil über eine Kante läuft.
Zum Abseilen ist lediglich das Seil in Rich-
tung Karabinerhaken zu führen (1a).
Dadurch wird die Bremswirkung reduziert
und das Seil beginnt durchzurutschen.
Zurückführen des Seiles in die Senkrechte
oder einfaches Hängenlassen des Seils
(z.B. bei Bewußtlosigkeit des Bedieners,
1b) stoppt den Abseilvorgang.
Vorsicht
Nach jedem Abseilvorgang ist das Seil
durch die Doppelöse zurückzuziehen und
somit wieder in die Ausgangslage zu brin-
gen. Wird dies versäumt, kann es bei der
nächsten Anwendung zum Absturz kom-
men (siehe Hinweis "freie Seillänge").

After putting on the seat harness, check
that it is fitted correctly by testing with the
whole of your body weight.
With the belt correctly fitted, climb over the
barrier of the cab. Take particular care
until you are suspended freely on the rope
underneath the cab (1). A sleeve (2) which
can be moved freely anywhere along the
rope is used as an edge protection.
Depending on the situation, this sleeve
must be pushed to the place at which the
rope is tensioned over an edge.

To descend, the rope must merely be fed
in the direction of the snap hook (1a). This
reduces the braking effect and the rope
begins to slip through. The lowering pro-
cess can be halted by moving the rope
back to a vertical position or simply letting
the rope hang down (e.g. in case the user
is unconscious).
Caution
After every lowering process, pull the rope
back through the double metal eye, so
returning it to the starting position. Failure
to do this can result in a fall when the
equipment is next used (see remark on
"Free rope length".).
