4.1. Safety devices

The equipment is supplied with the following safety devices:
• The fl oor box is equipped with a device [ l ] that immediately stops the
dental chair from moving down in the presence of an obstacle and auto-
matically lifts it up to free the obstacle.
• The backrest is equipped with a device [ m ] that immediately stops the
backrest from moving down in the presence of an obstacle and automa-
tically lifts it up to free the obstacle.
• The arms of the assistant's board are equipped with a safety device [ n ]
that immediately stops the dental chair from moving down if an obstacle
is encountered and automatically moves it up to clear the obstacle.

4.2. Emergency devices

ATTENTION!
Use the devices below When movement of the equipment needs to
be blocked:
• Dental chair control buttons [ a ] or [ c ].
Pressing any dental chair button blocks all movements.
• Foot control [ b ].
When the foot control is actuated, all movements of the equipment are
blocked.
• Foot board [ i ]
Foot board activated: all movements are blocked.

Adjustable headrest

Two types of headrests are available:

Cushion secured in place by hand
2
Cushion secured pneumatically
Adjusting the height of the headrest
The head rest blade is positioned through a magnetic clutch. The opera-
tor should pull up and/or push down the headrest until it is in the desired
position.
Adjusting the cushion
• secured in place by hand ( 1 )
Turn the knob [ k ] counter-clockwise and place the cushion in the desired
position. Once adjusted, tighten the knob.
• secured in place pneumatically ( 2 )
Press and hold down the lock button [ u ] and place the cushion in the
desired position. Once adjusted, simply release the button [ u ] to block
the cushion in place.
NOTE: the locking device is active only When the air circuit is
pressurized.
Safety guidelines
ATTENTION!
• Maximum weight supported by headrest: 30 kg
• Do not change the position of the cushion without deactivating the
locking device.
• In order to prevent the headrest from moving in an uncontrolled manner,
hold it with both hands before disengaging the locking device.

4.4. Adjustable armrest (optional)

Pushing down the adjustable armrest
Turn the adjustable armrest clockwise to move it down so that the patient
can more easily get on and off the chair.
Taking off the adjustable armrest.
Put the armrest in a vertical position and pull it off.
ATTENTION!
• Maximum weight supported by armrest: 35 kg
