Operation.
WARNING!
The instrument is supplied non-sterile.
Before attempting to use the device, disinfect the light handpiece and
eye protection. The fi ber optic is autoclavable in water steam at 135
°C.
• Insert the fi ber optic [ c ] in the handpiece.
NOTE: be careful to put the fi ber optic fully in place in its housing
(end of travel) to assure top performance.
• Attach the LEDA light to its power cord by simply snapping it.
NOTA: the mating surfaces must be clean and dry.
• Put the instrument in its work position.
The relative image appears on the console display to signal the instrument
has been withdrawn.
• Select the desired time by pressing and releasing button [2]. The led [3],
[4] or [5] that lights up indicates the selected time.
• Holding down button [2] does not cause the times to elapse but changes
the operating mode of the light. When the button [2] is held down the fi rst
time, brightness is gradually increased. The led [6] comes on to signal this
condition. If the operation is repeated, the device operates at half power.
The led [6] will fl ash to signal this condition. Press and hold down button
[2] until led [6] goes out to restore normal operation.
• Press button [1] to turn on the light. Hold down the button to emit the
pointing light. The work light is emitted when the button is released. The
light automatically shuts off once the set time is over. Three fast BEEPS
are provided in this case. The light can be shut off before the set time has
elapsed by pressing button [1] again.
NOTA: a beep is given every 5 seconds during operation.
ATTENTION!
A safety device stops operation of the light if the temperatures esta-
blished by current safety standards are exceeded. Wait until the light
has cooled down before restarting work. When the instrument is not
usable because the maximum temperature has been reached, the
leds will start to fl ash.
