C4.3 Manual Door Lock Override

Use ONLY when the probe is locked in the chamber and must be urgently retrieved for use.
WARNING: There may still be disinfectant in the chamber and chamber surfaces may still be
hot. Gloves must be worn to avoid contact with disinfectant.
By turning off the power and turning it back on, the trophon will attempt to recover. At this time if the
probe still cannot be removed then the following may be undertaken:
1. Turn off the trophon.
2. Insert the tip of a screwdriver into the slot behind the chamber door handle gently until it stops.
See Figures 14 and 15.
3. Lift the screw driver in an upwards motion.
4. The door will unlock and the probe can be removed.
NOTE: The probe is NOT DISINFECTED and CANNOT be used until it has completed a successful
disinfection cycle or been disinfected by an alternative method.

SECTION C5: ROUTINE CARE AND MAINTENANCE

C5.1 Regular Cleaning

1. Do NOT submerge the trophon, or pour liquids over it.
2. Keep the trophon level and upright at all times.
3. Keep the power socket completely dry (see Figure 4).
4. For cleaning, when cool, wipe inside the chamber and the outside of the trophon with a cloth
moistened with a mild, soapy solution, until all surfaces are visibly clean.
5. For disinfecting, wipe all accessible surfaces of the trophon with an Isopropanol or Quat Wipe.

C5.2 Service

Your trophon requires annual preventative maintenance as well as a major service at 5,000 cycles.
Once the service interval of 12 months or 5000 cycles is displayed on the screen, please contact your
customer service representative to arrange a service.

SECTION C6: DISPOSAL OF TROPHON

Contact your distributor or Nanosonics. They will advise you of the collection point for recycling
electrical and electronic equipment.
