8.14.6 Installation examples

8.14.6.1 RS-485 RX line

The line RS-485-1 will operate according to the
settings in the Address, Baud rate and Protocol dip-
switch.
The RS-485-2 serial line is not used.

8.14.6.2 RS-422 line (RS-485-1 RX e RS-485-2
TX)
This setting allows full duplex communication
according to the RS-422 standard. This means that
both the RS-485-1 and RS-485-2 lines are used.

This function is only available for bi-

etc.).

8.14.6.3 Line RS-485-1 reception, line RS-
485-2 repetition
With this type of setting it is possible to connect more
than one device in cascade. The signal is repeated
from every unit, making it possible to markedly
increase total distance.

way protocols.

8.14.6.4 Two-way RS-485 TX/RX line

With this setting it is possible to obtain a bi-
directional, half/duplex, communication on the
RS-485-1 line.
The RS-485-2 serial line is not used.
