Finalizing the sintering program

When the sintering program is over, a tempera-
E N
ture of 50 °C is indicated and the compressed-air
cooling is stopped.
▷ Switch the furnace off.
▷ Shut off gas cylinder at main valve.
NOTE:
Possible tilting off or falling down of the sinter-
ing bowl, due to its high weight.
▷ Apply bowl/cover tongs ensuring a firm and
good grip.
▷ Using the bowl/cover tongs, carefully remove
the sintering bowl out of the furnace compart-
ment and place it down on a non-flammable sur-
face.
▷ Remove the sintering cover and place it down
on a non-flammable surface.
▷ Remove sintered frame.
When not using for longer periods, leave
the Argovent components in the furnace.

Results
After the test run of the initial putting into opera-
tion, the pearls should have taken on a darker col-
ouration, and the Sintron remainder can still have
significant traces of residual oxide.
▷ Discard the sintering piece.
The further sintering runs should correspond with
the Sintron sintering chart and not exceed the
shown degree of oxidation. The results may vary
within the specification range and are to be used
in flawless condition. Partial discolourations
within the specification range are harmless und no
reason for a complaint.

The Sintron sintering chart is available for
download on our website.
▷ In case of worse reproducible results than
shown in the specification: Contact the Service
Dept.
Powder exchange
For each necessary powder exchange (due to
power outage, empty gas cylinder), the exchange
can take place in accordance with the instructions
provided with the powder. However, the powder
may only be added/applied onto the separating
disc (see section 7.1).
Coverings/Coatings
Whitish coverings/coatings can form between the
sealing surfaces, which may facilitate the entry of
air.
▷ To ensure tightness against leakage: After good
sintering results, place retort back on base in
same position.
Coverings/coatings are harmless; however, if
excessive (due to heavy usage), these can be
blasted off at least on the retort side using 50 μm
glass pearls.
