7.6 Using the float sintering disc in the
Argovent 2
Sintering on pearls generally always pro-
vide a better result than float sintering
with only little or no pearl/powder mix-
ture.
NOTE:
Insufficient sintering results due to faulty disc!
▷ Do not use separating discs as float sintering
discs, as the separating discs do not have a
ground (smooth polished) surface.
For sintering large objects, the amount of pearls
can be reduced in order to gain more height in the
sintering bowl. It may be necessary to increase
the gas pressure.

▷ Remove pearls according to desired height.
▷ When all pearls are removed: Remove separat-
ing disc.
▷ Insert float sintering disc.
▷ When less than 100 g of pearls are in the sinter-
ing disc: Increase gas pressure to 2.0 bar.
The gas values at the inspection glass increase
accordingly.
