3. Before Operation
3.1 Preparing the Patient
1. For the first time patient, the operator shall communicate and explain in advance:
1) Do not smoke or drink tea, coffee or alcohol for 2 hours before examination;
2) The patient should wear loose clothes as much as possible to facilitate ECG
examination;
3) Before receiving ECG examination, the patient should rest for a while, keep calm and
avoid being nervous;
4) If there is dirt on the skin where the electrode is placed, the skin should be cleaned
first;
5) If there is too much hair where the electrode placed, the hair should be shaved to
reduce the resistance.
2. When possible, prepare the patient in a quiet room or area where others can't see the
patient. If there are other people in the room, the curtain should be pulled at the bedside
during ECG acquisition.
3. Ensure that the patient can lie down comfortably. The more relaxed the patient is, the less
interference the ECG wave will suffer.
4. Once the electrode and patient cable are connected, inform the patient: breathe naturally,
keep still, don't talk, don't chew or clench the teeth.
3.2 Patient Cable Connection
Plug the patient cable connector into Patient
Cable Socket on acquisition box as shown
below, and lock the screw on both sides.
Only use the original patient cable of manufacturer equipped. Do not use any other models.
Patient cables socket is designed for ECG signal input only. Do not use it for other Purpose.
