6. Cleaning, Disinfection and Maintenance
6.1 General
Please keep your equipment and its accessories free from dust. To prevent damage to the
equipment, be sure to follow the following steps.
Before cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining the instrument, be sure to disconnect the
power supply (for the equipment with Bluetooth function, please make sure that the
battery has been removed), and take off the patient cable.
When cleaning, please be careful not to let the liquid penetrate into the instrument. In any
case, please do not immerse the instrument and the patient cable into the liquid.
Do not clean the unit and accessories with abrasive fabric and avoid scratching the
electrodes.
After cleaning, avoid any detergent residue on the surface of the instrument and patient
cable.
This instrument and all its accessories must be regularly maintained and overhauled (at least
once a year).
ECG machines are classified into Measuring Instrument, so users should send it to Official
Measurement Administrative to test and certify according to national metrological
calibration regulation of electrocardiograph and electroencephalogram machine every year.
The instrument signal input/output connector (when needed) must be connected with Class
I equipment which is IEC60601-1 compliant, and the total leakage current should be tested
to be available by users themselves.
This instrument needs to be maintained and repaired by trained and qualified professional
personnel; when the instrument functions abnormally, it should be clearly identified to avoid
the instrument running with faults.
The instrument shall not be remodeled or modified in any way.
6.2 Cleaning
6.2.1 Cleaning of Acquisition Box
Wipe the surface of the acquisition box with a cloth dipped in mild neutral detergent (or 75%
alcohol). Then wipe it with a dry cloth. Avoid water entering the acquisition box, which may
cause malfunction.
6.2.2 Cleaning of Patient Cable and Electrodes
Clean the patient cable and electrodes with a soft cloth dipped in water, neutral detergent or
alcohol (75%), and dry them with a dry cloth to ensure that the patient cable and electrodes
are completely dry after cleaning.
Enable this item, click 【Sampling】 to display 84bpm demonstration ECG waveform,
and the words "demo mode"displayed in the interface. In this mode, real-time ECG
data will not be acquired.
Enable this item, the acquisition interface only displays the limb leads waveform, and the
data file and report only save the limb lead data.
Enable this item, when the electrode falls off, there will an alarm.
Enable this item, when sampling, there will a sound.
Including low, medium and high sensitivity. When the patient equipped with pacema-
ker, it is necessary to turn on the pacemaker detection, otherwise, the pacemaker signal
cannot be detected.
Modify the administrator default password.
