Parking the print head
If the franking system will not be used for a
prolonged period (e.g. a holiday close -
down), we recommend parking the print
head before the system is switched off. This
protects it from any dust contamination.
Procedure:
Press the «PARK POSITION» key.
The touch-screen goes dark.
Wait approx. 3–5 seconds before switching
off the franking system at the mains switch
(3).
Important! The print head must be par-
ked every time before relocating the
franking system. Also observe the fol-
lowing instructions:
• Keep the franking system horizontal
while in transit (do not tilt!).
• If you plan to relocate the franking
system to alternative premises, plea-
se contact your local Frama service
organisation and the appropriate
postal authority.
The franking system performs an automatic
cleaning sequence whenever it is switched
on with the print head parked («Cleaning
process» appears in the display), and then
requests a test print.
