Checking the zero point:
You can check for correct zeroing of a
connected Framaw SP weighing platform in

→ «SCALE 0 g» is displayed.
The zero is correct, or:
→ Go to menu for weight entry.
• Press the «STANDARD SCALE» key.
→ «SCALE 0 g» is displayed in the weight
key field.
The zero is correct.
Correcting the zero:

example, «2 g» or «-3 g» is displayed rat-
her than «0 g», then correct the zero in the
Info/Setup menu page 1 as follows:
• Press the «TARE SCALE» key.
→ The display is «WEIGHT IN GRAMS: 2
g« or «-----» for negative weight.
• Press the «TARE SCALE» key.

The weight is now tared. Note that the re-
maining weighing capacity is now reduced
by the weight tared.
Important: If you later remove the tared
weight, you must re-tare, that is, re-zero in
accordance with the above instructions be-
fore doing any further weighing.
Calibration:
To avoid inaccurate weighing and thus pos-
sibly incorrect postage calculations, you
should check the measuring accuracy of
the weighing platform from time to time by
using a sufficiently accurate reference
weight. If the displayed weight does not
agree with the weight of the reference,
then you must recalibrate the scale as de-
scribed below. (This procedure may only be
carried out by the person responsible for
the system.):
• Remove everything from the weighing
platform.
• Select the «TARE SCALE» key in the In-
fo/Setup menu page 1.
→ The display is «WEIGHT IN GRAMS: 0».
• Press the «CALIBRATION» key.
→ You are requested to «Place calibration
weight on scale».
• Place the requested weight on the scale,
e.g. 5000 g.
• Press the «CALIBRATION» key.
→ The display is «WEIGHT IN GRAMS:
5000».
• Press the «CE» key.
→ Returns to the working menu.
The weighing platform is newly calibrated.
