Connecting the intermediary tubing

The Intermediary tubing (Figure 7) provides a sterile connection to the arthroscope sheath . It is
designed to be used with the Inflow tubing and must be discarded after each surgery .
nOte: This procedure may be used when operating the pump in either DUO (Irrigation,
Handpiece and Suction) or SOLO (Irrigation and Handpiece) modes.

To connect the Intermediary tubing, use aseptic technique .
1 . sterile OperatOr: Make sure that the luer-lock is properly
tightened and pass the

intermediary tube and Inflow tubing and immediately connect the
Inflow Tubing luer-lock to the Intermediary Tube luer-lock .
