Storing/Conveyor station

9 Description

The Storing/Conveyor station can be used as part of an overall procedure as a receiving store, as an issuing
store or as a buffer store. It can be used to receive or issue MPS ® workpieces or MPS ® boxes. Stock
administration, which is accessible via a web service, provides data on the current stock situation, as well as
information on the program status. Settings can be viewed and modified in the web service.
When used for receiving, the workpieces brought into the station by the Detection module (i-point) are
captured and, depending on their color, stored on one of six levels of a high-bay racking system.
When used for issuing, the workpieces are withdrawn from the high-bay racking system when requisitioned
and transported to the next station.
The function of the Storing/Conveyor station is to:
• facilitate stock administration
• receive workpieces into storage or
• issue workpieces from storage
